have been superseded by the new iPod Photo.
You're also looking at about 12 hours battery life,
which is perfect for a weekly commute to work or long
haul flight. You also need to be aware that your PC
has to be able to support your brand spanking new
iPod and 'Firewire' is favoured over 'USB' connection.
You therefore need to look into your PCs spec and
make sure it is compatible before hand. You most
likely need Windows ME or 2000 with a relevant
service pack (which is downloadable from Microsoft).
I would recommend this model to people that want to
take the time to upload as much music as is possible
and have a portable version of their entire album

you're prepared to update your play list frequently,
other wise this isn't for you.
This little gem weighs as little as .78 ounces connects
to your PC or laptop via USB 1.1 and 2.0 through
integrated USB connector - again you need to check
the spec of your computer. Good for teenagers who
want to spend time playing around and updating their
list with the latest tunes, also good for the gym,
shorter commutes and someone wanting to buy an

18 hours - higher than the other iPod models.
This is most probably the prefered module for
commuting, travelling and for someone new to MP3
players as they can later upgrade or add a model with
more capacity whilst keeping hold of the much
smaller size as it is more practical and less costly to
replace.

money isn't too much of an issue. With 60GB capacity
